Completed in 2005, the CGL campus is located near the main Vail roundabout at 129 N. Frontage Road West. Tucked in off the Frontage Road, the school is surrounded by aspen trees. Three generous gated playgrounds on the south side of the building enjoy wonderful views of Vail Mountain. As its name implies, Children’s Garden of Learning explores the growth of the child in a variety of ways, one of which is in actual gardens. On arriving at CGL, visitors are immediately aware of the colorful perennial Circle Garden, anchored by a large lion sculpture, as well as three raised beds where children and their teachers plant, tend, and harvest vegetables, herbs, and flowers. These gardens provide important lessons about our connection to the earth, and the children eagerly engage in all aspects of their growth.
