Admissions FAQs

Questions You Might Have:

  1. Do I still pay for the days my child misses school? Based on the number of days per week a child attends, parents pay tuition whether a child attends school or not.
  2. If my child misses school, do we get any free days? Each family gets four free makeup days per year, regardless of the number of days a child has missed. Makeup days are arranged through the office on a space-available basis.
  3. How does billing work? Monthly tuition is billed (via email statements) on/around the 20th of each month and is due on/before the 5th of the following month. Parents can sign up for automatic debit payments or bring tuition checks to school.
  4. What happens if we want to drop one of our days or withdraw from CGL? A sixty (60) day notice is required to drop days and/or withdraw from CGL. Without this 60 day notice, deposits will not be refunded to families.
  5. When do I get my deposits back? Once volunteer hours are complete, deposits are returned shortly after a child graduates. If a family withdraws before graduation, deposits are returned in full as long as the required 60 day notice has been given and volunteer hours have been completed.
  6. What about yearly closures? Depending on how national holidays fall, CGL is closed for 16-18 days per year. These closures include national holidays such as July 4th, Memorial Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc. as well as one (1) week for spring break (included in tuition) and one (1) week for summer break (not included in tuition). One day of professional development and two days of Parent Teacher conferences are also both included in tuition. In addition, CGL is closed for an annual Parent Teacher Work week during the second week of June when the school is readied for the new upcoming year. All families pay tuition for this week, based on the number of days their child will attend school in the upcoming year.
